Captain TQA Report – Sunday August 24
LIVE-FIRE: This week we had a double comp at the SISC range with our biggest turnout of members yet at this range. We had a good mixture of new and tenured members rock up today which made things excellent with plenty of volunteers helping to supervise the newbies. Thank you to everyone to helped contribute in keeping the shoots running smoothly.
AIR PISTOL: The TOs managed to train 9 people this week whilst still allowing everyone attending to get their air pistols shoots in without too much waiting. Thank you everyone for your patience & a special thanks to EET for the organisation & planning around the training.
Live-Fire Shoot
Rimfire: Glenn, the 2024 Centrefire-champion attended the SISC shoot today, and proceeded to wipe the floor with the Rimfire shooters in both competitions! With total scores of 421 in the 1st comp & 411 in the 2nd comp, Glenn is on track to win the CHRSLPC Grand Slam title.
I (TQA) managed to get 2nd place in both comps with 383 in the 1st comp & 410 in the 2nd (so close)!
Daniel, Jim & Madison came 3rd, 4th & 5th in the 1st comp with scores of 373, 356 & 321 respectively. And Jim, Grant & Paulette took out 3rd, 4th & 5th in the 2nd comp with 405, 398 & 380 respectively.
Center-fire: Dashing David took out 1st place in both comps with 339 & 360 respectively.
Tommy, Louie, Kevin & James took out the next top 4 spots in the 1st comp with scores of 274, 262, 245, 244 respectively.
Louie, Chris, Tommy & Fernando took the next top 4 spots in the 2nd comp with 320, 316, 283, 274 respectively.

Air-Pistol Shoot
As usual, B242 & L241 took out the top 2 spots with 244 & 242 respectively.
Mike & Amanda were absent this week, which meant that TQA grabbed 3rd spot with a 234 (probably because I got to try out one of the new Steyrs this week).
Daniel & Kevin took 4th & 5th spots with 232 & 227 respectively.

It was good to see the more tenured members help out & supervise/train the newer members. Hopefully it made for a satisfying & less-rushed experience. Please make sure you book your attendance next week!
See you all soon!
