The secretary , will also include the invoice. As soon as you have sent in the forms , references and details , and paid the invoice.
You can start the four level Pistol Safe Handling Program (PSHP) , which involves theory and some practical training. After successfully finishing the Level 1 theory (about 25 minutes) , You can start the practical and be shooting an air pistol.

On successful Completion of Level 1 and Level 2, you will receive your Target Shooting Safety Course Certificate which you will require, to upload for your Application for a Firearms License at the NSW Firearms Registry website.
This process takes about seven weeks, while you are waiting for your application to be granted, you can continue the Advanced PSHC level 3 and Level 4 at the Livefire range, and you must fill out a P650 form each time you attend the range , until you receive your licence.
During the first six months, from the date being issued your Probationary Pistol License by the Firearms Registry, you must attend at least 3 competition shoots, at either range.
At the end of the six months, you will receive a Pistol Firearms Safety Training Completion Certificate (PPL). You can now apply for a Permit To Acquire (PTA) your own Firearms.
The Probationary Pistol License will remain in force for 12 months, and to keep your licence, you must attend at least 6 competition shoots a year. This applies to all members.

If you decide to withdraw your application, the $200 PSHP is non-refundable, but if you are accepted for membership, it will be credited towards your Membership / Joining fee.
On successful completion of your Level 1 and Level 2 training , the Club will continue the process of your membership application, and you will receive a Pistol Safe Handling Completion Certificate, and you can start applying for your Pistol Licence.
Level 1 Pistol Safe Handling Course level 1 training course, the theory section generally takes 30 minutes , followed by a practical session, and then you can start shooting at the Air Pistol Range.
Includes 1 on 1 training and supervision , tactical light and laser training , Air Pistol hire, 7 targets and 500 pellets and some supporting documentation.

Level 2 is the Pistol Safe Handling Course Level 2 training course, and includes 1 on 1 supervision and training , Air Pistol hire, 7 targets.
At this stage , you have completed your Pistol Safe Handling Program , and you will receive your PSHP Completion Certificate and start applying for your Pistol Licence.
The next step is the Advanced PSHP , which is held at the Livefire range , and you will experience the discipline of Safe Pistol Target Shooting.
Advanced Pistol Safe Handling Program
Level 3 is the livefire Pistol Safe Handling Course Level 3 , this is a hands on Practical Livefire training, Ruger 22LR pistol hire , 22LR ammunition , 22LR Browning with tactical light, laser, 1 on 1 training and supervision, and range fees.
Level 4 is the Pistol Safe Handling Course Level 4 training, this is a hands on Practical Livefire training, Ruger 22LR pistol hire , 22LR ammunition and 22LR Browning with tactical light, laser, 1 on 1 training and supervision, and range fees.
