A thanks of Appreciation to Paul Kougias, of course for his help and support, and Joshua and Erin who looked after us so well throughout the evening.
above is what dAIvid thought living the dream meant …
It would be remiss of me not to acknowledge the shoot on Saturday. Even though Cathy seemed to provide a great deal of reluctance when I suggested buying the 50 cal on display at Condell Park (the reluctance was sufficient for me not to risk it)
a Night to Remember
Yes , it was a night to remember, despite misplacing the entertainer , I always love how everyone just continued to celebrate the proceedings.
I have often mentioned how humbled I have been by the goodwill and camraderie that everyone has displayed. I have received many messages of appreciation, from both old and new members, and a readiness to offer help.
The awards were presented by David and Craig, who both have done a fabulous job running their sections. Renzo chose to go to hospital, instead of enjoying the night … we wish him a quick recovery, as we want him to join us on the range this year, he has done a wonderful job as the Treasurer.
dAIvid of course , Glen, Jim, Paulette and Ray who was with me right from the beginning … and a thank you to everyone who was able to attend , each of you helped to make such a warm success.
A thanks of Appreciation to the Castle Hill RSL Club, Paul Kougias of course for his help and support, and Joshua and Erin who looked after us so well throughout the evening.
and I received this email from dAIvid that expresses the essence of the membership, far better than I could …
Hi all,
It would be remiss of me not to acknowledge the great night at the Christmas Party, and the following shoot on Saturday. Even though Cathy seemed to provide a great deal of reluctance when I suggested buying the 50 cal on display at Condell Park (the reluctance was sufficient for me not to risk it), the trip was still certainly worth making.
It certainly brought home to me just how much I miss the camaraderie of shooting on the weekends with the Club, other Pistol Clubs I have visited certainly don’t have the same ‘vibe’.
I was also somewhat humbled by the compliments offered by so many, for the first time in 10+ years I see the Club operating as a ‘well oiled machine’ with everybody working towards the common good of the membership.
A scant 12 months ago the Club could have gone in an entirely different direction and it is a credit to you all that it has actually taken strength from adversity, and become a better place for it.
