Pres Smudge Report – Sunday October 20

Dashing David making an appearance , the Shadow disappearing  , and Capt Obviously was left to run the shoot.

with everything carefully planned , it was left to Pres Smudge and Vice Pres Jose to herd the cats into some semblance of order … and they obviously saved the day.

With No. 7 bay out of order , and bay 1 falling wounded barely hobbling its way back to the bay , the herding became a horse and cat issue.

With the briefing and order of the shoot emailed to the DLSs … the cats were settled in their bays chafing at the bit , ready at 10:28 , Capt Obvious checked his smart watch … at 10:31 the shots rang out , and with the Entertainer’s guidance the 2 comp shoot was under way.

10:42 and the first 7 shooters tore down their targets … and the second tranche was ushered by Jose into their Bays … it was organised and no mayhem. The Entertainer RO’d a tranche as well … Pres Smudge was most impressed , as there were several new shooters , who were all carefully supervised.

Pres Smudge surveyed the 4 new shooters , who agreed and Rated the shoot as the very best , they have ever been to 🙁

A crowd of happy satisfied faces chatted their way out of the Range by 11:50 … the shoot ????

Results Rimfire:

John B edged out Jim D , not a newbie with 269  and 261,  Jeremiah on 252 followed by Jose on 240 , just edging out the wonderful Paulette by 1 point , followed by Smudge , Jim G and Terri is edging up with some good shots.

Then came Roberto , Defu , The Entertainer , James , Brendan  Peter  , Helen and Wally.

Somebody had nobbled the new Berettas as they hadn’t been sighted in yet , so they were shooting a bit low and to the left. We plan to sight them in at Condell Park … apologies 🙁

Results Comp 1 Centrefire boys with noise BwNs

Glenn L … derrrr … 272 was first , Ray just edging out Grant by 1 point , with Gus edging up , followed by Dashing David.

Then came Chris , Matt , Fernando , Sebastian , Louie , Artemio , Tom and Vinod.

Comp 2 – Rimfire

Roberto led the way on 197 , followed by Paulette , just beating Jim followed by John and Smudge , just edging out Jeremiah by 1 point , who tied with Jim 3 .

They were followed by Jose , Wally , The Entertainer. Then came Defu , Terri  , Peter D , James G , Brendan L and Helen.

Comp 2 – Centrefire ,  BwNs

Grant on 171 just beat Dave and Glenn followed by Sebastian, Matt and Tom on 147

Then came Fernando on 138 , beating Artemio by 1 point , followed by Gus , Christopher , Louie , Ray and Vinod.

Good to see so many happy shooters , so satisfied with the morning shoot at the St Mary Range
