with David , Ray and Hoa as RO ... it was the best shoot ever without the Pres

A late dashing Report – Sunday September 15

A comprehensive survey of all club secretaries present unanimously agreed this was the best shoot ever. Conspiracy Whispers abounded in agreement , that it was much better without Pres Smudge

Despite some obstacles which included the absence of several senior club members and the previous booking running over-time leading to a late start.

the club members were amazingly flexible, keen and safe. Even a bay breakdown or two did not phase anyone, and a borrowed left handed Phillips head screwdriver and some quick ingenuity got one of the broken bays up and running.

Everyone jumped in to help with the set up, RO duties, supervision of new shooters, pack up and whatever else was needed. Even in his absence Pres Smudge made up the course of fire and set things up for success in advance.

Round 1 range officer made the executive call to bump the first target from 10m to 15m, which was a very economical decision as Pres Smudge new custom targets can be re-used a second time as many did not end up with too many holes in them!

A very sharp father son duo battled it out, with father clearly dominating in comp 1 (not just dominating his son, but the entire field) however son just took the crown in comp 2. Father and son cleaned up Gold and Silver in .22 class in both comps. A very strong family effort. Graeme T also put in a strong effort in the rimfire category.

Stage whisper … Gentleman Jim 3 and Jeremiah had been secretly been trained by Pres Smudge … luckily Rob and Glen worked tirelessly to repair the damage

Christopher was in a class of his own in the Comp 1 centrefire division, both in terms of calibre and score.  Paul C took the gong for 9mm today in Comp 2.

Another great shoot, so if you haven’t been to the St Marys Range for a while,

come by and join in the fun.

see you all on the 22nd
