A late dashing Report – Sunday August 18
with dashing Dave running late , and the Shadow disappearing into the darkest Africa , it was left to captain Obvious to run the shoot.
with everything carefully planned , it was left to Ray M to herd the cats into some semblance of order … and he certainly saved the day.
The briefing started at 12:30 , the ‘volunteers’ had already received a list of the shooters and duties to be carried out , the night before , and there was the usual jostling from eager volunteers wanting to help . the safe was raided and emptied ready for the shooters , and the ever helpful Graeme T arrived with the targets.

At 1240 hours Ray M briefed the members , with the Pres interfering enough to cloud the issues … at 1250 hours , the team sprung into action , straight into Range D and the setup began.
At 1255 hours the shooters were in their Bays waiting for the commands … Ray M carefully looked at his Rolex , the alarm sounded and at 1300 hours the shooting started.
the target , so to speak , was 2 Comps in the one morning … 1317 and the first 8 shooters ripped down their targets … as the second team navigated to their Bays … it was organised mayhem … by 1400 hours the comps were done and members ruefully added up their scores.
This allowed for some free shooting time , under the watchful eye of David D , and Jim D
Everyone walked out of the Range wsatisfied , the general consensus was that Ray M , David D and Jim D all did a far better job then the Pres.

Results Rimfire:
Grant L , not a newbie 1st with 219, hhhmmm … Ray M 2nd by a whisker , even though he had shaved , with 198 , 3rd Luam with 197.
Wilson on 184 with Paulette on 183 , a whisker behind , hhmmm a poor choice of words , closely followed by Kris , David D , Graeme T Jim D , Paul D , Bede I , and David B.
Results Comp 1 Centrefire , the boys with noise
Glenn L was 1st on 192 , followed by Gus T , Tony O , Fernando O , good to see Raymond K . Then came Cameron , Francisco , William Joshua and Ben.
Comp 2 – Rimfire
Grant L again 🙁 … followed by and tied with Jim D and Bede I on 171 , the Ray M , David D , Paul D , Kris L closely followed by Wilson . Paulette , David B and Graeme T.
Comp 2 – Centrefire , the boys with noise BwNs
Glen L again again 1st on 179 , Tony O on second 162 , followed by Fernando O , Raymond K, Francisco M, Gus T.
Then came Luam L, Ben F, William J , Cameron P and Joshua W.
I have never seen so many happy shooters , so satisfied with the morning shoot at the St Mary Range
