Shadow Report March 2nd
Today’s “funday” was at Auburn. Yes, that’s right folks, our second and long-awaited return to our old home. Whilst our time allocation is still tight, 26 members spent their allocated 50 rounds in glorious fashion and left with smiles on their dials.
I must mention and commend all members for their excellent skills today. The standing range rules at Auburn demand the highest levels of compliance to safety. I’m very pleased to announce, we were commended by range management on how well our shoot was conducted and how good our members are. So, everybody should give themselves a big pat on the back.
I won’t list out all the results. But listen up ladies and gentlemen we have a new legend in our midst. They say he can shoot a thousand 10’s with one blow…. or did he blow a thousand…. never mind, I can’t remember how it goes. But today, he did take first place in 9mm. He has been progressing nicely over the last few weeks and his rapid rise, is sure to ruffle a few of our regular centrefire peacocks’ feathers. One said peacock is now worried that his feathers aren’t as dashing as he thought.
Steven J has been turning up recently, and by that, I mean shooting very well. He placed 2nd in centrefire and only one point behind the legend.
In Rimfire, the other legend in our club Glenn L takes the cake. Special mentions to new shooters Marget M and Simon M in their first shoot with the club, placing nicely in the rankings.
All up we had a great day. There’s a lot of work going on behind the scenes to create an enjoyable shooting schedule. It’s early days but I’m optimistic things will become much more fun. Maybe as much fun as you can have, with your clothes on.
Stay straight and tight and keep your clothes on …. for now
