The Shadow Report – Sunday July 28

Another fantastic Sunday with a bunch of awesome members. It was a hard shoot today with tiny targets and timing. There was not much room for error. You really had to be accurate and fast.

It must be said, we have a great bunch of people. All our members are shooting like well oiled machines. Everybody is ready when needed, efficiently moving through the strings in a timely and safe manner. Not to mention everybody stepping up to help out with patching, timing, setup and pack up. I know all you helped but a special mention to Jim, Gus and Nadim for setting up the range and hanging around after to pack up. I also observed some great assistance from Bede for being clipboard monitor!

Results Rimfire:

Jim 1st Hit rate of 4.8, Score 367, Time 76.8 sec. Mr smooth and accurate, he’s just too good.

Simon 2nd Hit rate of 4.2, Score 396, Time 94.4 sec. Higher score, just not as quick as Jim.

Nadim 3rd Hit rate of 4.1, Score 296, and the fastest time of all at 72.0 sec. A great example how time really counts with hit rate.

Results Centrefire:

William 1st Hit rate of 4.0, Score 331, Time 81.8 sec. Welcome back and not bad for his first shoot this year.

Jarrad Hit rate of 3.1, Score 329, Time 107.6 sec. That’s an awesome result using a revolver which takes longer to reload.

David M Hit rate of 2.3, Score 262, Time 111.7 sec. Welcome back the legend! He had some dodgy ammo and was also on the revolver, but not up to his personal extreme high standard. I think he sets a high benchmark.

As you may sense from my report today, I have nothing but admiration for the quality of members we have in our club. It’s a pleasure to attend on a Sunday with all of you and have a friendly competition shoot.

It would be remiss of me, to not mention the President. Possibly unbeknown to you, he spends countless hours ensuring we have the resources and equipment for each Sunday.  You may have heard that, quality is never by accident, it is the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction and skilful execution.

Stay straight and tight …. and be all that quality stuff.
