Captain Obvious Report – Sunday June 23
a special surprise shoot comp next week … and as an added bonus the President won’t be there 🙁
6 Good club citizens did SSAA Range Officer training. David D finished first , closely followed by The Captain , with Ray M topping the class after doing an exam reshoot , there were whispers of brown paper bags been exchanged , Ian B , Ramesh and Hoa L , all passed. Tony couldn’t make it due to a family Salami Making Sunday
The comment from all of them was appreciation of the many aspects of safety involved in shooting and thanked Sean from the SSAA at St Marys , they’re a great bunch of blokes to work with.
With the captain obviously away Brent H ran the shoot ably assisted by the President and Glen , the club members are really great , always ready to step up , when and where required. The President agreed with himself that it was nearly a far better shoot then when he isn’t running it 🙁
Great shooting by Grant L with a score of 428 , closely followed by Paulette D on 419 , everyone was shocked to see that she beat Jim D again , again …. then it was Brent H and Paul D.
The centrefire shoot was led by Glen on 410 , good to see Raymond back and enjoying his 9mm on 351 , closely followed by Roland on 336 , William J and Geoff who had a few issues with the ammunition.
Thanks to Raymond who let the President and Jim try his new 9mm , we all agreed it was a great pistol , felt so good in the hand.
Captain Obvious, and the Shadow decided we are still having too much fun on Sundays. So come along and join in the fun, apart from when you are seriously shooting.
