the revolting Shadowy Targets
Shadow Report – Sunday April 28
Well, we certainly mixed things up today. Turning targets, rapid fire, reloads and who knew 8 seconds is really 6. Time really does fly when your having fun! If you’re sitting through a six second ad on Youtube its an eternity, but when you gotta let off a 6 round mag, it’s like blink and you’ll miss it. And from the scores there seemed to be a lot of blinking.
I should declare, now we have found the toys in the back room and are playing different games, we are still feeling our way, in how it works. It will take some time to get a balance of what everybody enjoys. I admit today’s shoot was hard and fast……wham bam thankyou mam. I know that’s not for everyone, and we will balance this out over the coming weeks.
For those not there, we shot from 10 metres over all strings with varied times from fast to, well, no time to blink. It was all about speed. The second string really tested all, with only 15 seconds including a reload. From a spectator’s point of view, it was pretty cool listening to a rapid fire symphony.
Results Rimfire; Wally S 1st by a country mile. He was shooting 10 and 9’s without breaking a sweat. Jim D second, situation normal.
Centrefire; A mixed bag of results and one bloke got luckier than the others. Actually on a second review of the score sheets, Hoa L has been promoted to first place for his rate this shoot comments.
In case you didn’t know, we are on again next Sunday. If you don’t want to have an enjoyable Sunday morning putting holes in paper, then stay home and mow the lawns.
Wham bam,
The shadow
See you next week. If you turn up.
