Captain Obvious Report – Sunday February 17
Sunday the 17th was even better than the previous shoots, making it the best shoot so far in 2024. Not because of a variety of challenging targets; not because of the attendance of new members, who were trained to the highest standards, which translated to excellent shooting; it was because the Shadow was not there. or was he ?
Our illustrious Club Captain excelled at his job, and announced to all who attended, he wants to take on even more responsibility, as he enviously eyed the secretary’s job, and noted that she had a new Pardini Competition ready Pistol.
The shoot was straightforward, until the Best PRESIDENT we ever had, came up with a new challenging challenge, which was very challenging.
Because the brains of the outfit, forgot the score cards, the ever resourceful Shadow that seems to be lurking around everybody, brilliantly used some small targets for writing the scores on.
What was the challenge ? Captain Obvious asked.
The challenge was to use the last 2 shots on the obviously very small targets at 25 metres.
Looking at the results, it shows our members are capable of a high standard of shooting at longer ranges … hhhmmm maybe not. unless your name is Glenn.
The atmosphere at the shoot on Sunday was obviously serious with Captain Obvious, followed around by his shadow, fulfilling their roles in a smooth fashion.
the President, who has obvious training talents were reflected in the new members results.
Grant L would obviously would have won … but he wasn’t there
David D, who was professionally trained by the President came first. Though, he was seen in the shadows talking with Glenn … hhmmm … Paul C was second followed by Jim and Paul, and very close behind was Paulette, and very very close was another President trained shooter, Ian B., and Roberto also with a Pardini.
In CentreFire, Craig finished last. I think he was traumatised by the presence of the President and Captain Obvious. It was Ray, obviously just behind Glenn, who just had to show off, how good he was, by getting both bonus shots on the target 🙁
Captain Obvious, thought we are having too good a time on Sundays. So come along and have some fun, apart from when you are seriously shooting.
