Shadow Report – Sunday 4th Feb 24

Another great Sunday morning with fellow members enjoying our passion. Eleven shooters in attendance with a few faces from Auburn days, that haven’t been for a while. It was good to see
them again.

An interesting shoot today, where Range Officer Ray decided to mix things up a little. 1 st string at 25m two handed. 2 nd string at 20m one handed -predominant hand. 3rd string at 15m one handed –
non predominant or weak hand and lastly, 4 th string in under 20 seconds.

This was a good shoot that presented new challenges for a few of us and mixed up the results. You haven’t lived until you’ve
shot a pistol with your weak hand. All I can say is, sometimes it’s good to swap hands.

Then some free time at the end for some practice or fun.
Grant L topped the Rimfire results by a bee’s appendage (1 point) from Paul C. Take a look at their 3 rd and 4 th strings – interesting.
Christian S, No.1 in Centre fire by a good margin. Look at his last 10m string, that’s pretty good shooting.

I think today’s event was the best ever, well run and most funnest (yes funnest is a word) shoot in recent times. On a totally unrelated note, the club president was absent :).

In other news the Club’s Sign in Clerk/Score Keeper tried on a yellow vest to see how it fits. He says, “it needs a logo and the clubs name on the back”. Nice idea but sounds expensive. Maybe, after we have funded the capital expenditure project, that is the new forms venture, we might have some coin left to play with.

See ya’s all next week.
