The shadow is back … and he’s bought his shadow with him
Next shoot – we are at St Marys on January 21 — in the afternoon
Welcome to 2024 and the clubs first shoot, back after the festive season break. I hope everyone had a great break and time off from whatever it is you do. I for one, had missed the weekly shoots and was chomping at the bit to get back into the Sunday routine.
After an unexpected delay with Auburn not re-opening … thankfully last minute arrangements were made. Fortunately, St Marys were able to accommodate us and thanks to the hard work of the committee we got to open our shoot year there.
Today saw 12 shooters attended which included two newbies. Ray and Glen played Range Officers which ensured a smooth and safe shoot. So well run in fact, we got some free time at the end to have a play. We all were privileged to witness a guest appearance from our old Club President, Dave M. You can learn quite a lot just watching him go about his craft and its special to see.
Today we shot a standard shoot with 4 strings from 10 to 25 metres.
Results Rimfire: Jim D placed first with 453 points. That old wily fox just punches out nines and tens all day.
Results Centrefire: Ray M smashed out a ripping result with 454 points. He topped the score for each distance which is quite impressive.
In other news … the sign in process, scoring and also this match report is exceptional work by the shadow, for the enjoyment of all members.
Stay tuned for further updates to the website where progress scores and points will be published throughout the year so you can track your quest to win the clubs top shooter award. See you all at the next shoot.
Regards Shadrock the fomer shadow of his self.
